Metal Gear Solid GEKKO . The new tiny-terrors from MGS4, the GEKKOs, are autonomous soldiers with artificial muscle for legs. . I actually finished this design almost a year ago, but a lot happened in 2008 and I just never got around to taking the final pictures. However, as it's long past due and I finally have a decent camera and tripod... here it is, my version of the MGS4 GEKKO. (As always, click on the images to see them full-size) I'll be the first to say it's not quite the right scale for mini-figs, I think it's about 20% too big. However, I can't be bothered with that, so onwards! The scenery isn't very complicated or inspired... I admit buildings and light vehicles aren't my strong suite. But the real stars here are the GEKKOs, so onwards! Ahh, old Red Nose. What a kidder, always kicking up his heels. You can see all 4 of them together here, as they move in packs and are seldom separated. And isn't that just like Red Nose, kicks your butt then takes a dump on you. Shameful. Naturally they like to be up high just to show off. The distant echos of their cattle-calls shall be heard for miles! Of course they have leisure time too, perfect for gossip and kill counts. Watch out Miss- or Mr.- cow, old Red Nose is mighty curious. It's not easy always, but they will balance on one leg with some careful posing. Here we see Red Nose and his favorite hobby. Here they are in front of a fancy background, as if posing for an album cover. "Sounds of the Metallic Maulers" does have a nice ring to it. And finally a family picture. What a delightful scene. If you're interested in making a GEKKO for yourself, you're in luck. BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS Thanks for looking, if you like what you see then I would love to hear about it.
