Eiffel Tower . microscale model of the Paris landmark . This is the second version of this model. The original model used flex tubes at the corners to outline the outside of the tapering shape and define the upper portion of the tower. Overall the model was innovative, yet the proportions were never quite right. The upper part was too straight and slender. The base and legs still relied on a lot of studs up building with clumsy arches and support pieces and they lacked a certain amount of structural substance. Shortly after finishing the first model, I began to wonder if I could I could build the entire model out of flex tubes. At the time I was busy with other things, so it was only after a couple of years that I ended up getting around to redesigning it. The result is this version. The model is approximately 1/650 scale, similar to the scale of my other microscale landmarks. Looking up at the tower from ground level Details under the tower On of the elevators From above
