The Javelin . . This is The Javelin. It is my second large scale SHIP. It is 176 studs long. The Javelin is a First Strike ship. As its name suggests it is a long spear with over powering engines for speed and a large amount of torpedoes. This Ship comes with 7 engines. Two engines are for initial thrust and velocity. The other five engines are for cruising and sustained long term voyages. The Javelin was designed to strike hard and far into enemy territories. As a matter of design it was built lean on space and comfort but overly powered on engines, armor, and offensive weapons. A standard tactic of this ship to go behind enemy lines and fire its 6 torpedoes. It then leaves straight for the voyage home. The large amount of engines and armor is designed to allow the ship to take damage to over 50% if its resources and systems and yet still protect the crew and achieve its mission. The crew is made up of no more than 12 men. The Ship has four bunks to rotate crews on 3 different shift schedules. There is also a medical bay, weapons locker, brig, engine room, torpedo room, and command deck. A unique thing about the Javelin is its stealth scattering technology. It has four bulkheads bend outwards to help channel the two large energy absorbers that help scatter the large engine signature and power readings the ship gives of. It acts like two gutter lanes in a bowling ally preventing a ball from going to far left or right. In this way the energy is focused forward and backward thus creating a slender more focused energy signature that is hard to detect unless you are in front or behind the ship. To help neutralize the forward and rear signatures the ship has a few negative ion generators that cancel out most of the wake in front of and behind the ship. This is the Javelin, I hope you enjoy. Also I made the entire science and stealth tech up. I have no idea if it is sound or not. It sounds cool though. Please go to http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=324254 to see more.
