"The Executor" Super Star Destroyer . Here ya go LegoLord, details galore...Shannonia here I come! . This is a diorama type thing that I have been adding on to slowly for the past two months after making my Super Star Destroyer. This is the finished product for all the people who wrote a review telling me to put more detail into it. Thanks for the tips! The Super Star Destroyer is one of the largest, most powerful Imperial vessels ever created. It follows the same basic dagger-shaped design of the Imperial-class Star Destroyers, but magnified to much larger scale. A smooth hull presents an arrowhead shaped profile when viewed from above. Resting in the center of this hull is an "island" of habitable volume. Though there are several command ships, the most distinguished of these Star Destroyers is Lord Vader's flagship, the Executor. This vessel led the Imperial Death Squadron after the Battle of Yavin. It also served as the command ship at the Battle of Endor. The Executor was the first of a new generation of immense warships, lending its name to the Executor-class Star Dreadnought. Its difficult-to-comprehend size and destructive power led many to borrow superlatives popularized during the Clone Wars, and simply call it a Super-class Star Destroyer, though this was by no means an official label. Constructed in secret at the starship yards of Fondor, the Executor was a crowning achievement for both the Imperial Navy and Kuat Drive Yards. During the construction phase of its existence, the whole operation was under the command of Admiral Griff. Please keep in mind that this a Super Star Destroyer, which does not have a large command bridge. (Thus the tiny one.) If you look through all the pictures, you can see what it looks like in Star Wars. The city next to this massive flying nation can be any Star Wars city of your choosing. I just thought it would be cool to make a micro city. Please note that this is the actual size of a city to this ship. Well, on second thought the city would probably be a lot smaller but I wanted to make it kinda "big". =) Detail, detail, detail! You can see the command bridge in the back of the dark grey section. I am leaning very heavily on entering this is the Lego section of the Evergreen State Fair. Two years ago I got second place in my age group and won like three dollars. This year I'm hoping to do better. Because of that, I need tons of ideas and tips. Bring on the criticism! The surface of the Executor was dotted with all sorts of weaponry, bristling with more than 5,000 turbolasers and ion cannons. The Executor carried wings of starfighters and two pre-assembled garrison bases ready for deployment. This is what it looks like in "real life". With flash... The main attraction! The main attraction yet again! Back view... The not-so-main-attraction. The very front. Man, I feel sorry for the Stormtrooper that has to sleep by the window in the front. From the top... The city braces itself for the first Super Star Destroyer landing since The Emperor came down with a bad case of the flu. =) The engines are actually red, but I forgot until after I took the pictures...RATS! And last but not least, more detail! (All due credit to Star Wars.com for the info and picture needed for this MOC.) EDIT: Please take a look at the finished version HERE.
