"X" -- Rogue Viperex . The end is here. . Name: Xevach Codename: X Gender: Male Species: Makuta Race: Viperex Tools: Dark mind baton Titles: The End Incarnate, the Dark Horse, Extinction Element: Shadow Occupation: Formerly agent of Brotherhood of Makuta, currently rogue Personality: Arrogant, outspoken, sarcastic, insane, relentless. Status: Alive Xevach was born to the Viperex Makuta, Netrux, and a Toa of Psionics, Dalaeax. Shortly after his birth came the birth of his brother, Deaskuth. The methods of birth for Toa and Makuta (which, although they are rarely used, do exist) are not completely identical and can cause problems for the children. Because of this, the two were born very sick, close to dying. Netrux was able to enlist the help of Jethryn, who healed the children by separating their mixed blood. Xevach took in most of the Makuta blood, turning darker colored and more susceptible to dark thoughts. Although Netrux had hoped to keep his children a secret from Teridax, the Master of Shadows learned of it anyway. A force of Makuta and Rahkshi stormed Netrux's quarters, and not finding the Makuta or the two children, assaulted the mother -- her death by abuse was only prevented by the escape of a psychopathic "subject" of the Makuta. Xevach, who was with Jethryn at the time, never was told what had happened to his mother -- or to his father, who was killed by Teridax shortly afterward. The dark lord eventually turned his forces toward capturing the children -- which he did. In a short battle, a squad of Rahkshi isolated Jethryn in combat while a Makuta captured the children, bringing them before Teridax. It was at that moment that Xevach saw a chance for power -- and told the Master of Shadows that his brother was plotting the destruction of the Makuta. Xevach got the effect he wanted -- the brother he had learned to hate was banished. Xevach, in turn, was sent to Icarax -- a vile warrior who would teach Xevach the ways of the Makuta. Under training with Icarax, the young warrior underwent many battles with Lectrahk, his Rahkshi "cousin", whose madness-inducing electrical bolts were unleashed upon Xevach many times. In his system, they destroyed all "weaknesses" left in him, turning him into a cold-hearted warrior. His name was also lost in the training -- from then on, he was known only as "X". X was then sent to a village of Matoran, to practice blending in with the Matoran. However, during his time there, he found a clue about what had happened to his parents, and left that scene. He began hunting down anyone he believed had the information he wanted. When a messenger came from Teridax telling him to return to Destral, X simply shot the messenger -- whose blood stained a particular rock for thousands of years afterwards -- and continued his journey. From then on, he was a rogue, with no loyalty whatsoever -- except to the answers he so desperately wanted. ~fourth wall shatters~ So, this is my version of X, the rather popular selfMOC of My friend Zach. The stories of him, Andrew S., and myself are very much intertwined (mostly my fault). I built a version of X back in October but it wasn't very good, mostly taking advantage of the earlier versions' shortness (he was about Inika size). So, I decided to make a newer version, with the newer color scheme and more height. Lower leg. As per usual, it uses a Hero Factory limb to provide a kneejoint, and like the original, uses a foot element as lower armor -- Hero Factory this time, as I don't have a black Mata foot. Upper leg. He uses elements from Nivawk to assist the structure of the legs, Metru shoulder elements used as hipguards, and size 6 HF plates. Torso. The X emblem on his stomach was originally intended to be on his chest, but he grew to be too large for that. This also shows a usage of the a new axle element introduced last year. As a consequence of the X emblem's construction, his torso is an even number of holes across. This made its construction rather tricky. Here, you see the Mistika wings of the original (black instead of red), and some red spikes I added for no reason. The original version doesn't have custom upper arms, so I felt no real reason to make them for this version. Instead, I used the simplicity of HF lower limbs to provide a basis for heavy, bulky armor like on the torso. Lower arms are not something I am very good at, but I decided to try again on this MOC. The design uses Slizer limbs to provide a wrist joint. As on the original, he has one white lower arm and wrist-mounted guns. The head structure. Why does he not have his original Ignika? A couple reasons: #1: I couldn't find my Ignika. #2: Even if I could find it, it would be way to small for him. #3: It makes a good parallel to his brother Deaskuth's Avhokii-shaped mask. #4: I think it looks cool. A new version of X's primary weapon, the Mind Baton. The original was silver, but the current story states that the weapon as used by his mother, who, being a Toa of Psionics, is/will be blue and gold. So I made the weapon in black, to fit with both characters. Well, thatís it for today! Please rate and comment.
