Apex-Class APC . Dawn Forge strikes again! . The Apex-Class APC is one of the few ground vehicles to be developed by the Dawn Forge. While mainly specializing in various forms of mech, they occasionally need a vehicle that is faster, tougher, and more reliable than a two legger. That is where this six wheeler comes into play. At approximately 4.5 tons, the Apex-Class APC, more commonly referred to as the Hippo- because of its massive size, can take quite the beating thanks to its 5 inch solid polymer/Kevlar/steel alloy. However, though it is indeed quite heavy, it can also maintain constant speeds at up to 60 MPH. While its intended uses are quite clear, get troops in and out of battle, the Hippo can also be used for wide scale assaults, towing mechs out of battle, and perusing enemy vehicles. Here's the bottom. It's heavily armored to protect against IEDs and landmines. The top is armed with a state of the art,auto-turret, 50 cal. machine gun. On a side note, I also like how the cabin turned out. The Hippo's 550 horsepower, pure diesel engine, get this bad boy about 2 highway MPG. It's pretty much a soccer mom's dream xD In case of chemical warfare, troops can gather inside of the Hippo thanks to its high-tech air filtration system. Dawn Forge troopers have quite the decision to make... Which hatch will they choose? This trooper is quite comfortable in the luxurious cabin. He seems to be transporting cargo into battle. Dat armor doe Monkey Business! 4th Wall: Well, that's three down and one to go. I think this turned out pretty good, as it's probably my favorite wheeled vehicle I've made thus far. I think my favorite part has to be the cabin's windscreen design. My next post is, in my opinion, one of my best builds to date, so be on the lookout that. Also, I'm going to the LEGO Store tomorrow :D Anyways, thanks for looking and have a good day! Rate and Comment God Bless~
