LOM Guild Charter: The Hand of Defiance . My Character has gone through some immense changes... A series of Flashback mocs will come soon, explaining what has happened. So don't get too confused, it will all be resolved with those flashback mocs. ;) . EDIT: Despite some issues, OoL has allowed me to officially make this Guild! I'm still not the right rank, but The Hand of Defiance is now an official Guild! How long has it been? Was it really only two weeks since I was with the crew of the Dark Queen, attacking that coastal fort? It seems like Months. Everything has changed. I trust no one. If I would meet my own father now, I would have no trust in him. My bow is always ready at hand, no matter where I go. My hand jerks to my quiver every time I hear anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps I am scared… But then again, I have the right to. They are after me. They are after me, I know it, and they know that I know. They still have a score to settle with me, after I killed eleven of their members in Worsan that night. The Black Lotus will have no tolerance for me if they get me this time. They will surely end me right away, when they have the chance. I have seen them. Scouring the woods near Carthal , where I have been for the last five days. They think they are silent, but I can hear them from many paces. If any one of them comes close, I shoot them. They never have time to signal to the others. But I know I can’t keep it up. The hours before they find me are numbered. I have come to a well. It rests forgotten, with no bucket and no string. The water is murky, but I decide to rest here anyways. It is then that somebody steps into view from behind a tree. My bow is on her before she can utter a sound. “Who?” I ask. “The Lost Ranger. Qinon. That is who you are, isn’t it?” She steps slowly around the well. “I have come a long way to find you. I was assigned to find you, and told you were here by a magician I hired. I am supposed to give you a letter.” “One more step…” I leave the threat in the air. How could I trust her? I trust nobody. Not after all that. She nodds. “I have a message.” “I don’t care.” “Very well.” She chucks the message to the ground before me. She waits. Then she says: “It’s there, in case you change your mind.” “The dagger.” I say. “Throw it in the well.” I see she is about to make a response, but I cut her off. “I said, in the well!” She nodds again. Then she chucks her dagger into the well. It lands with a splash. “Turn around.” She turns around. “Now run.” “If you will do what it says in the letter, send an arrow to the sky. I will see.” “I said, RUN!” Without another word, she takes off through the woods. I pick up the letter. I recognize the fake seal of the Outlaw High officials. The Heart. I rip open the letter and read from it. ”To Qinon, the Lost Ranger. “Your service has helped us. The letters you sent us while on board of the Enalican ship were most interesting. we have heard of what happened, however, and so we want you to know that we are giving you an opportunity: To found a guild. There is a tournament in Carthal. People from all manner of nationalities are going there to compete alongside their other guild members. founding an own guild and competing will not only give you a name, but also get you many allies. And it will make you and ally of many others. ~Your superior outlaws.” The signature under the signing is crossed out and scribbled over several times. As always. I think hard about this... Allies. People I can rely on. Friends. I take an arrow, lay it in my bow, aim, and fire. It flies high over the forest, glinting in the sunlight. I will go to Carthal. *** On to the Guild description! The Hand of Defiance is a group of people who come to each other’s aid when necessary and fight together in the Turney. People who join can go by their own principles, but The Hand of Defiance will accept people who don’t stand for good traits. They are not a group to help the poor, stand up for justice, etcetera, but individuals can do so if they want to. Sometimes several members of the Hands of Defiance will join together to raid a village or such (It is very outlaw-centered, afterall). The one thing that everyone in the group must value is bravery. They are all about standing up for one another, doing things together, and helping each other, even if they have different opinions. They, like some other guilds, have also come together for something higher than stealing and hiding. There is no requirement to join this Guild (are people now allowed to join guilds from other factions?). The only thing is that their ways are not very tolerable for Mythronians, because of their name: The reason the Guild is called the Hand of Defiance is because they dislike the concept of order, or at least their founder does. Obviously, Mythron stands for exactly that amidst the chaos of the Lands of Mythron, so that’s the reason... The Guild Banner will be coming soon. I have to learn how to make it, though… Members of the Hand of Defiance typically remain indiscreet, not identifying themselves as part of the Guild openly by wearing some sort of sign. However, if you feel really loyal, you can wear helmets and shields with the print of a white hand to show that you are in the Hand of Defiance. The Guild Motto is “Join, and defy” I couldn’t get it in latin, because the word defy doesn’t seem to exist in Latin… guess they were very loyal in those days. This is very important!!! Especially if you are Object of Legend, David FNJ, Gilbert Despathens, or Freeling! So, here’s the deal. I don’t have my rank yet. I posted my part of the required crossover On November eleventh - yes, a whole month ago. Gabe French, my crossover partner, has still not posted his part of the crossover yet. I don’t see it as a very bad thing and don’t take it personally, but the fact is that I can’t make guilds yet without the Rank. I could wait for Gabe French to post his part, but by then, the entries for guilds for the Turney would probably be over. You see my problem? Now, I would want to know, from Object of Legend, if it is in any way possible to still make the Guild official even though I don’t technically have the rank yet, even though I did my part of the build a month ago. If it is not, then I would like to know, from Gilbert and David FNJ, if it is possible to enter a Guild that should technically not be there yet into the Turney, and to open it up to new members as soon as Gabe French completes his part of the crossover. And I want to know from Freeling if this is generally possible/OK/acceptable, ect. So, until these Questions are answered, I can take requests to join this guild, but I can’t officially welcome you in yet, and the Guild is generally not official. EDIT: Case resolved (read the edit at the very top of the Page to see the details!) All that said, here are some more pics of the build!
