Rhino MRAP . Yes, a real-brick, German, modern military build. I am collecting parts to build a Leopard II and saw some tires and thought, "I could build an MRAP". Quick Flickr browse and I found a nice chassis technique and then this was build. Thanks for viewing, please rate and comment. . Rhino MRAP Stats: Top Speed: 77 MPH Weight: 11.2 Tons Armor: Carbon Steel, Kevlar, Ceramic tile, Bullet-proof glass, carbon fiber, titanium, and Mk. 2 APIS Primary Armament: M2 .50 cal HMG CROWS Secondary Armament: none Power Plant: ISB4e V8 Diesel Engine Combat Range: 850 miles Crew: 1 (3 passengers) Developed in 2014 by the German Army to combat IEDs and asymmetrical warfare groups. Shown here with full asymmetrical warfare package. "V" shaped hull and a high ground clearance help to minimize the effects of IEDs, while the APIS can intercept most rockets and rounds over 40mm. The glorious rear. Most of my green parts come from the Indiana Jones sets, like the jungle cutter, hence the "CCCP" Sticker. The German Cross things on the door are official stickers from the Indiana Jones set with the biplane and the Me-109. And yes, I know that there are no windows, I'm working on getting some trans-black parts. The front, the hood is too small, but the only other hood I have is orange, not great for hiding from RPGs. Here's a first, full 4 wheel suspension. Sadly, not my technique, but borrowed for the MRAP king on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/66138404@N06/9265924617/in/set-72157634600727109). All the wheels. I want to integrate this into my Humvees and future MRAPs (Yes, future MRAPs). Four wheel steering, for nice tight turns and epic drifting. Doors and the rear hatch open. The M2 also rotates, elevates, and depresses. It even includes a pathetic excuse for an engine block, yeah! Suspension and steering mechanism, not much to see here. Grappling hook, for ... grappling? Could be useful someday. Roof removed to show the four occupants, I'm tying to squeeze in a fifth. A five man (and woman) German Infantry Squad in desert/forest combination camouflage. I designed this in LDD and then put in real bricks, like the Abrams, Blackhawk, and Humvees. The file is included. Thanks for viewing, please rate and comment.
