Semovente 75-18 SPG . My recreation of Lego Major's fine Italian Semovente 75-18 SPG. I probably did not get all the fine details the same as he did. But I think I got it pretty close. Another fun, small tank to build. Plus you got to love it when your tank is only 310 pieces! :) . The real deal. :) One of my smaller tank builds. It is almost completely hollow, so it is super light. I had to change a few things from the LDD file because a lack of certain pieces. Quartering away. Showing some of the rear exhaust, and the engine bay. Not much on the rear end, but I have seen pics of them mounting some extra fuel cans on the rear end, so I will do the same. The business end of the 75-18. The Italians did not have very many reliable tanks during WW2, but the 75-18 "performed" well, most of the time. :) I was able to keep this tank relatively low to the ground, like the real tank. It looks good next to figs, I think it came out pretty size appropriate. Because of the small size, it only holds one fig up top. But when my son is playing with the tanks, that is all he needs. All hatches opened. :) For the real one, I ended up building a small motor inside the rear hatches. Large enough to keep the 2 hatches at their proper angles, slightly angled up. :)
