U.I.S "Caterpillar" APC-40 . . Armored Personnel Carrier Information The APC-40 has been created after a request for a large capacity APC, to work along side the APC-30, however this version is 'unarmed' and so requires AFVs for support. The APC-40 has 8 wheels in total, 4 of which are driven while the other 4 are steerable, this means it can traverse over nearly any terrain without major problems(otherwise a big shovel is needed!). 12 fully equipped soldiers can fit inside the pressurised troop hold, as the APC-40 has its own 'life support' system if under chemical attack etc. Also the APC-40 is 'submersible' to a point, as it floats in slow moving water and can be powered by two water jets under the chassis. The rear access door open. The Engine is visible through the maintence hatch, however if major repairs are need then the engine is taken out through the floor of the troop hold. Mobile SAM launch System (MSLS-01) Information The MSLS can hold up to 5 medium SAMs at a time, picking of aircraft of ranges up to nearly 40km and 5km up in the sky, all targeting and guidance systems are on board the APC-40 chassis, which nothing is altered, keeping maintenance and parts as universal as possible. Long Live the U.I.S!
