Part 3: Land, ho! . A persuit...and a discovery... . Previously: Part 2: An unexpected change of plans This is a story written from sigfiggy perspective, dialogue is written under the corresponding pictures. When we dropped off Hutton at port Royal and left for the second time we decided to change plans and sail in a different direction, we left early and did quite a distance already. The sea was calm and the wind stable but soon we realized there was more than only the weather conditions to consider... Ben King: "We've got visitors" Sebeus I: "Are they friendly ?" Ben King: "eh...no, definitely no!" Ben King: "Better avoid those, with some luck they'll ignore us" Morthen P: "That's too optimistic I think, they look like pirates" Sebeus I: "It's no good, they're clearly after us" Morthen P: "And they are fast...very fast" Sebeus I: "Davy Jones' Locker you're right, they're gaining on us..." Sebeus I: "Perhaps...Those boats look fragile..." Morthen P: "...A cannonball would make short work of those pirates I reckon" Sebeus I: "We must act quickly, Morthen, to the gun deck! " Ben King: "I'll give you as much time as I can" Morthen P: "Steady!" Sebeus I: "A bit more to the left. " Morthen P: "Steaaaady!" Morthen P: "FIRE!" Ben King: "Yes! We won't see them again" Morthen P: "I hope so for their sake" Sebeus I: "We handled that pretty well I must say." Morthen P: "So, what now?" Sebeus I: "Actually I'd like to make some modifications to the stern, in our haste we damaged it pretty badly. " Ben King: "So we're looking for land? good, I want to stretch my legs" After a brief look at the map we set a new course to the nearest island. However the nearest island seemed to be closer than expected... Ben King: "What? We're there already?" Sebeus I: "..No, that can't be right, this must be another island, an uncharted island!" Morthen P: "Nice! so we fought off pirates AND discovered a new Island, what a day..." Sebeus I: "Aha, I think I can find some decent wood here." Morthen P: "Sorry tree, we need your resin to fix our ship." Ben King: "I'm going to check out the island." Sebeus I: "See if you can find some fruit while you're at it." To be continued . . . Some background information: Sebeus I: Ben King: Morthen P: Fourth wall commentary: Bloopers: Sebeus I: "hmm, it really WAS closer than expected... " - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I hope you liked it, for me this is a milestone, I made multiple lego illustrated stories in the past but I never got further than a second episode/chapter/part. This time I managed to cross the invisible border, now let's see how far the next one lies...
