Jarrokh's species was created on the island of Destral by Mutran. They acted as powerful pets for the makuta and many other larger sentient species. On Xia they became popular pets and guard rahi for various Vortixx nobles and Makuta Antroz, the island's Makuta guardian himself. They strongly resembled muaka and shallows cats, but were more docile and receptive to command.
This appearance of animal servitude was a lie, however. Jarrokh's kind were loyal only to Mutran, and were far more intelligent than they let on. They drained energy from their owners, and slowly poisoned them in their sleep. When Mutran gave the command, they would kill their owners before returning to him and receiving a new owner.
Jarrokh stayed by Antroz's side most of the time. Sent on trickier assassination missions, sometimes off the island, his increased strength, stamina and ability to sense other living beings through walls gave a supreme advantage. Every kill Jarrokh made drained the victim's elemental energy. This was on top of the outright fighting that would occur when someone Antroz didn't like needed disposing of.
When word finally got out that Jarrokh's species were more than simple house pets, most of them were destroyed by their owners, or their bodyguards. Jarrokh fled to join the Dark Hunters before it could be caught.
The newly named "Assassin" was a favourite of the Hunters, often sent out on solo missions. Missions requiring Jarrokh to work with others proved fruitless, however. Due to the fact Jarrokh drained power from its kills, it attempted to kill every target in the mission, even if it was more appropriate for the other Hunters to do so. Jarrokh's favourite targets were toa.
Jarrokh could switch between a tank-tracked rahi form and a humanoid form. In the first form it was incredibly fast and could easily pretend to be a dumb rahi. In the second, it was much more agile. The elemental energy absorbed would dissipate slowly, but while energised Jarrokh was faster, stronger, tougher and able to sense beings from further away. It rarely used weapons, instead fighting with claws, tailblade and tentacles. Since Jarrokh gained energy via his tentactles, it had no mouth and no teeth.
When Spherus Magna reformed, Jarrokh left the Matoran Universe with the rest of the Dark Hunters and continued to work for them. Shortly after The Shadowed One died and "Baron" took over, however, Jarrokh abandoned the group for an unknown reason and disappeared into the deep forests of Bota Magna.

Jarrokh was originally intended to be my entry to round two of the Elemental Bionicles Contest 2013. The objective was to create a rahi of arsenic. Jarrokh's colour scheme still reflects this, and the build and backstory revolves around it, but it was simply too large, complicated and ambitious to be finished before Phos' deadline. Metallic arsenic is gunmetal grey, its ore is a dirty orange colour, and it burns pink, hence the eyes.
Jarrokh is highly inspired by the Coeurl, an intelligent, feline alien from the 1950s Sci-Fi novel Voyage of the Space Beagle, and by a creature from the Forgotten Realms setting inspired by it: The Displacer Beast. It also takes cues from Pokemon's Mewtwo and the caterpillar-tracked rahi sets from 2001. A lot of design elements are derived from machines and petrol motors, as well, to fit with its semi-vehicular side.
Jarrokh is my second-tallest MOC now. Tallest if you count the full length of the tentacles. Unfortunately, MATRIARCH won't fit in the picture area. Jarrokh and Varrix are my only two villains currently built.
