Rebel Dropship . Custom Rebel Dropship with configs, weapons and lots of figures! . So this is my custom rebel dropship with antitroopers. It used most of my grey parts and is the biggest ship I've created so far. It can be configured in a few different ways, (more on that in a bit)has multiple weapons and has some neat features built in. I'll start at the front of the dropship and work my way back to the engines at the back. Some general pictures: Heavily armoured tailgate. Cockpit The cockpit holds one pilot and can hold an extra figure behind. It has some nice detailing and is separate from the main body of the craft. "Peel off roof" No the roof is not a banana. No it's not an orange either. What I meant was that it has only a few studded points and is easier to pull off than if the roof was all studs. Look at the pictures with the roof off, they explain it better. Configurations With Air - Ground Cannon Just behind the cockpit is a hole that the Air - Ground cannon shoots through, operated by a clone gunner (It's an antitrooper if you're wondering why there are rebels and clones together), inside the dropship. It takes up quite a lot of space but makes up for it by destroyed AA turrets and any small arms fire from below. Without Air - Ground Cannon As I said just a moment ago, the cannon takes up a lot of room. This configuration increases the threat to the craft but increases the amount of troops it can carry a lot. To fill the hole that the gun shoots through, a 6x10 black studded piece is fitted on at the same level as the rest of the inside. This configuration at maximum capacity holds 28 troops + the pilot and now at rest gunner. This is close to the republic gunship! In the dropship - count them if you want! Out the dropship in squad formations Overhead view of squads Feature: Stretcher Beds I added a feature at the back where I used a few grooved pieces so that you can slot certain things into the back. At the moment I have only made a stretcher bed that utilises that feature. The stretcher can hold two injured troops. Feature: Vehicle transport The dropship can also hold a rebel hoth speeder with two squads comfortably in it's cargo hold. It can also hold some speeder bikes with some troops too. Two squads with a Hoth rebel speeder in the ship comfortably. Out the ship. Feature: Winch A winch is located on the bottom of the craft that can lower and lift up to medium sized vehicles. You may have noticed that the soldiers in the craft are not carrying weapons. This is because I have built a container for the weapons to be held. Weapons Systems The underbelly showing the hidden weapons. Laser Chain-Gun There are two Laser Chain-Guns mounted under the wings that fire high power laser shots and awesome speeds and with immense power. These shots can pound through ultra thick armour and can destroy tanks easily. These are primarily used for destroying high priority targets (i.e. not infantry) although the batteries can be changed to low capacity batteries for destructive power against infantry and light vehicles. Lowering Laser-Missile Platform This Laser-Missile Platform is lowered in flight for superior visuals. The laser is a medium power laser capable of damaging tanks and downing shields. The missile is a heavy duty homing missile capable of destroying whole bases once the walls have been damaged. This combo is a deadly quick-strike weapons platform perfect for obliterating defenses for the troops to clear up. Proton Missile This missile is the top air-ground missile. Capable of destroying whole cities, this missile is not one to be messed with. The missile is cased in impenetrable armour that is deactivated 0.0001 milliseconds before impact to make sure it can never be destroyed before it is needed. The missile is homing with an accuracy of 10cm and includes a heat seaking feature that is completely optional. This missile packs one hell of a punch. Air-Ground Cannon (Optional) This cannon fires rapid high powered shots with a large blast radius for destroying infantry formations and taking out AA guns and turrets. This cannon can be taken out for more space. It is operated by a clone gunner from the inside of the dropship. Conclusion And Some Notes Thank you for reading this boring stuff ;) I hope you like my MOC - I've built a base for it but its a bit multicoloured :/ and incomplete :-/ and I need more pieces to make a diorama :/ (Really big :/ ) There are some nice MOCs on the base that I will share instructions for - check them out when they come out or add me to your favourite builders (you know you want to) Anyway some notes on the ship. The ship lands on the two platforms on the underbelly and not on the weapons. This is my favourite MOC I've built so far but definitely not the best I can do. In conclusion I think this is awesome (and I hope you do too - I'm open to constructive criticism though) and I look forward to completing the base and moving on to something better :-) If you like this MOC, like it, add me to your favourite builders for more weapons MOCs, mods and more for you.
