Toa Onadus . . Next Version Name: Onadus Species: Toa Race: Unknown Location: Karda Nui (formerly), Near Metru Nui Lived: c. 100000 BGC - present Alignment: Aggressive Good Allegiance: Outcast Toa Occupation: Outcast Toa aerial operative Element: Plasma (natural), Air (artificial) Powers: Flight, super speed, advanced shielding, electrical immunity Kanohi: Formerly Oculan, Mask of Elemental Immunity. Currently Noble Kakama, mask of speed. Onadus was created by the Great Beings to oversee work in Karda Nui. There he acted as foreman to the Av-Matoran, settling disputes and assisting in the preparation for the awakening of Mata Nui. Sometime after the Energy Storm began, a malfunction was discovered in the region. Onadus volunteered to fix it, and, wearing the Mask of Electrical Immunity, charged into the storm. He also took part in the creation of the Canisters of the Toa Mata. Later, it is said, Toa Onadus became restless and bored with protecting the Matoran, and started to pick fights with them. When the other Toa heard of it, they expelled Onadus from their order. He left and traveled south from Karda Nui, where he encountered and defeated mysterious foe, and sending him to be encased in protodermis in Metru Nui. He lived in seclusion in Mata Nui's leg for thousands of years. At one point, Jethryn found him and fought with him. They clashed their visions of the future -- Onadus wanted to overthrow the Toa, Jethryn wanted to continue fighting for Mata Nui outside of the order. In the end, Onadus was left to ponder Jethryn's vision. He eventually agreed with it and came to Metru Nui to join the Outcast Toa. Onadus possesses the element of plasma, but more commonly uses his artificial control over air. When Onadus' foe returned from his slumber, and escaped Metru Nui, a Makuta took on the form of the Toa for combat. Fourth Wall begins here. So, while I was trying to make something for the Lands of Mythron challenge (which ultimately failed), I built this Toa to relieve some pressure. He was originally intended to be an Earth Toa (hence the On- prefix), but I ultimately decided to make him a Toa of Stone due to his colors, and put him in Karda Nui, since he has at least one piece from each of my six Phantoka sets. I built most of the legs and torso on the 27th, then continued with the arms on the 28th. I wanted to use the jets from the 2008 Brickmaster Rahi set from early on, and topped them with a pair of Mistika fins from a Space Police III set. However, I decided that, in practice, it wouldn't be stable enough (actually, I read Wertman 8 say it on a review) and so added the small blades for wings. This added a new feature: they could be tucked behind his rear end on the ground, but could then move up and make the cape extend in flight. And also, I gave him the bladeshield simply because I found the X-pod top in my BIONICLE bin and thought it was a good fit. And that's all folks.
