4-Wide Superheavy 13-Axle Transport . An LDD model of a 4-wide superheavy 13-axle transport rig, hauling a wind turbine nacelle. . This LDD model is a 4-wide superheavy 13-axle transsport rig hauling a wind turbine nacelle. Actually, since it is an oversize load, the flatbed and payload are 5-wide. The length of the model is approximately 67 studs, which at the scale of 2 feet (0.6 meters) per stud, works out to an actual length of about 135 feet. These rigs are used in situations where the load is so heavy that it needs to be spread across multiple, separated axle groups, so that the transport doesn't damage the roads. For reference, this picture shows one of these rigs carrying a Cat D11 dozer. I had earlier created a minifig-scale transport that would be the big brother to this one (you can see it here), but I wanted to see what I could accomplish at the 4-wide scale. This model is now part of a Cuusoo idea. Consider supporting it if you like it.
