TNS Rákóczi submarine . Brickviller once again inspired me to build something. This time, a submarine. . Some things may seem futuristic. It was made for Divide and Conquer II Thanks for inspiring me, Brickviller . In case you were wondering where did its name come from, read this article: Rákóczi Showcasing all her marvelous weapons that I designed, the Deep Launch System and the CUDA torpedo. Like all TNS vessels, it has pop-out weaponry cuz they look cool xD This cut-away view shows how the Deep Launch System works. I came up with the idea when I realized that submarines are pretty vulnerable when they launch a missile. They need to come close to surface and when they launch a missile, the huge bubble generated by the missile is easily spotted. With the DLS, this problem can be evaded. The top part contains no air (vacuum). The weight is located below it, so it is balanced. After the missile launch (no bubbles), the empty part generates enough lift for the whole system to ascend quietly. Once it gets close to surface, the Turul launches like a normal missile. The other weapon is the 800mm CUDA (superCavitating Unerwater Deadly armament). Thanks for the help with the name Matthew McCall . Like its name implies, it's a supercavitating torpedo (well, more like a rocket). Such caliber was need to accomodate the 50 ton yield anti-matter warhead and the rocket fuel. It has 24 DLS silos and 8 800mm torpedo launch tubes. Like all D&C II submarines it has ultra mega quiet water pump-jets (the opening after the rearward looking torpedo hatch is the intake for the engine). Compared to my other TNS vessels (Kizniecov, Ironclad), it's slightly smaller. Well, thanks for viewing! If you liked anything here or have a question, feel free to leave a comment about it.
