I Brick Contests - VS Marlf Round #1: Classic Optimus Prime Redux (Old Meets New) . At the time of posting this, the first topic of the contest is 'old meets new'. I thought about it for a while, and I thought I'd delve into my own past. When I started here on MOCpages in june 2011, I never thought I'd be where I am today. My MOCing skills have increased greatly, and I've completely abandonded my original G1 line. But today I go back to that line and combine both my original style with today's lego transformers conquest style. The old clashes with the new in this epic MOC. My first MOC, which was optimus prime, was quite terrible. Even so, I am glad I gained the courage to start here and post that first MOC. Many elements from him have been placed into this MOC, but also many elements from the current MOCs I make have been embeded. After building this, I realised something. This reminds me of an interesting saying. It goes "he who wishes to climb a mountain must start by taking a single step". A more appropriate saying would be "he who wishes to make an amazing MOC must start by placing a single brick". We all need to start somewhere. Although my beginnings were humble, I am now well on my way to becoming an established MOCer... . Although you don't really have to, you may check out the original (AKA the crappy one) by clicking HERE Also, here's some of the pictures from the original (in case you can't be bothered clicking the link). Now that that's done, please enjoy!
