Detruxx Revamp . A revamp of my counter version to BioRockDudes' Detox. . Detruxx was a moc I made a while back because I was fascinated with BioRockDude's self moc Detox. I didn't want to copy his character image like most other mocers do but more re-imagine him through my eyes and Detruxx was born. Keeping to my signature colours of black and lime, I made a version of Detox that would act like an anti-Detox, a counterpart. Whereas Detox is playful and a heroic type character, Detruxx would be the opposite. A powerful destroyer who's only pleasure is through the suffering of others. With BioRockDudes' recent 'Revamp Week' contest, it got me thinking about what revamps I could do on the side as I had already entered the mocs I wanted into it. Detruxx came to mind as he was essentially born from Detox and I guess taking part in his contest got me thinking about revamping him. This version uses my more modern, standardised torso design that incorporates the oversized shoulders. This technique gives the character that top heavy look which is mostly seen in comic styled villains to embody power. I kept the black and lime colour scheme as it was that way with the original Detruxx so it seemed fit to keep it as such. A small yet noticeable colour difference from this revamp and the original is that the head now houses a trans orange mata hand instead of a lime one so the eyes are more pronounced. One of my favourite parts on this moc is the lower legs as they came out just the way I wanted them, bulky. This adds to the overal 'powerful' look as it can emulate weight to a degree. All in all, I'm very happy with this revamp but I know some people will be complining that I made a Detox inspired moc that doesn't look like him. Atleast mine does indeed look different though and that adds to a bit of originality to my variant.
