Scouting on Balnorf-12 . Category 3 for Team GAIA: WAV. Sort-of a late MA upload, enjoy. I'm pulling an all-nighter to finish my next one in time. Not my best work, I struggled to come up with a concept better than this due to parts limitations. Hope it looks good enough! . 2013 MocAthalon homepage Team GAIA: WAV group homepage Category 3: Alien Landscape Is it barren? Are the rivers green, gold or pink? Do the trees grow upside down? Do the Aliens walk around like they are constantly doing the limbo? These are all ideas. Build us your version of an alien landscape. This one is all about beauty 'outside the box'. The Classic Space Crew has just landed on Balnorf-12, a habitable planet in the Proxima-Centauri star system. On the planet, a race of lizard-like humanoids is discovered! The lizard people are seen here moving a giant slug through the forest, what are they doing with it? The Classic Spacemen are on an adventure to find out! Not too much outside the box, but more of a Classic Space meets primitive aliens. Scene was inspired by Avatar, but I wanted it to be fun (hence the astronauts and colorful balljoints and spheres. Enjoy. Another overview. Front/side view, pretty much the same thing. Back side. My lack of brown plates forced me to make this side green, it's not a huge difference but it sort-of urks me. Here, one of the lizard-men (carrying a traditional poking stick!) walks along the slug, presumably to take it to a sacrificial area. Another view of the lizard-man and the giant slug. Gotta love the new Hero Factory Brain Slugs! Look, a wild baby slug! It might be harmless, who knows! The Spacemen are going to find out! The Yellow Rookies follow noble Red Leader, hoping to find an adventure! Here, White Scientist is scanning the ground to see what makes up this strange alien world! What's that the first Yellow Rookie sees? Is it the slug...or something else? Either this Yellow Rookie wants a better view of the slug (with his super-duper-ultra-high-quality binoculars), or he's scared! He scurried up one of the "tubes" on the planet, Red Leader thinks these tubes are some type of plant. Here's the Classic Crew walking through, ready and eager to make first contact with the locals! What happens next? You decide! All the minifigures, the Classic Spacemen have been acquired by me over the past few months via friends and Ebay auctions. I love them! The bronze weapons are from Brickforge. Comments and CC are appreciated, see ya!
