Why?
MELO Round Two: John Daniels vs. Brick Tales . . Bracket - Orthanc Middle Earth LEGO® Olympics Category - The Mirror of Galadriel Don't expect a reflection. "The mirror shows many things, things that are, things that were, and some things that have not yet come to pass." Be creative! "What will WE see?" My worthy opponent Brick Tales entry (Awesome job Brick Tales!) Now that all of that other stuff is out of the way - I would like to wish Brick Tales luck, and I would like to thank Ian and all of the other judges for running this contest! Instead of building what the Mirror shows I decided to build the scene where Frodo is looking into the mirror. I have (somewhat) followed the movies portrayal of this scene. The eye of Sauron And here is an overall shot of the MOC. Fourth wall; Well this was fun! I followed the advice from my friends here on the pages and on Flickr and added more to the tree trunks. A word of caution, to those who attempt a round base like I did, if a section of the circle lets go the whole thing uncoils like a giant spring (flinging bricks everywhere!) Thanks for viewing! I would appreciate likes and comments, Thanks! --John
