Why?
Hobbit Ledge . This is a Lego creation I was going to enter into a contest... but then realized it wouldn't fit the required limits. So before destroying it, I decided to take pictures and put it up here. Enjoy! . "Very soon Bilbo was laid down, trembling with fear, on a wide shelf of rock on the mountain-side. There was no path down on to it save by flying; and no path down to off it except by jumping off. There he found all the others sitting with their backs to the mountain wall. The Lord of Eagles also was there and was speaking to Gandalf." The Hobbit, by J.J.R. Tolkien. That kind of explains my creation. Blue is Thorin (I didn't have any dark blue studs), brown is Bilbo, and the other colors are the dwarves. The other things other than the rocks are supposed to be eagles. I made this set (minus the 1 by 1 round plates) completely out of pieces from the Cad Bane Speeder set. Close view of the rock work inside the overhang. Thanks for looking! God Bless!
