Perky and Pretty SpaceGal Postal Courier
The HoverCraft’s designers/builders, Venus Voltaics, is itself an ‘all-gal’ engineering firm. This ‘all-gal’ concept can be traced back to the concept’s inspirational founder, one Wacky Wanda, who was the first woman CEO of her own engineering firm, Technic Bulldog, during the Steam Punk Era. So, how about another kind of ‘look-back’? Not history this time, but…
A Look at the Back of the HoverCraft!
And today, following the Wanda Tradition, the gal engineers of VV work tirelessly to design and build some of the most sought-after analysis, building, collection, delivery, exploratory, farming, and mining vehicles known in Classic Space! Why even handsome 2nd Lt. Red is so impressed that he’s forgotten all about his sweetheart’s letter! That’s real proof of genius…
A Mesmerizing UnderBelly!
Is it any wonder that ‘all-gal’ VaVaVoom Instant Postal(3VIP) chose the Venus Voltaics(VV) Hovercraft as the mainstay vehicle for its courier fleet?! Why, some HoverCraft parts can EVEN be specially designed to meet an individual user’s special needs/tastes! Parts marked with asterisks in the following diagram come in different colors and/or can be laser imprinted with any color graphic design. Electronics configurations can also be rearranged to the buyer’s desires on all instrument panels! The cockpit canopy can be ordered in 2 lengths, 6 and 10(although the longer canopy requires rearrangement of all the ‘facial feature’ panels). The white 2x3 wall panels can easily be fitted with oval solar panels… enlightening! And, if that is not enough, each buyer receives a laser engraved love letter personally worded from Amy, Venus Voltaics’ current CEO! And now…
The 98 HoverCraft’s Parts!
Some times the gals at VV get a bit silly after working long hours on a particular project, and design stage/preproduction diagrams like this one occur…
Parts In Space…
All silliness aside, VV prides itself in that many of the 98 HoverCraft Parts can be used for assembly of more than one equipment design model. Let’s have a look-see at 2 popular VV equipment models that can be built from the parts…

#2 The VV Solar-Powered Lunar Regolith Mini Extraction Lab-2
Solar Panel View of the Lab
Did you notice the 3VIP Logo and Courier? Yup, SpaceGuys working at this station receive postal service too! The High Command believes in the importance of keeping up moral!
SpaceGuys can act like they are ‘from Mars’ when they engage in ‘selective hearing’. Lt. Red certainly knows better than to do so when involved in a radio transmitted training session given by a VV Scientist! Now the High Command IS understanding about love letters, but everything has it’s time and place! Sure, this training session may be about a lot of hot air, but that ‘hot air’ will never be produced if Red has a…
Momentary Distraction from Training
Normally the Lunar Regolith that has been collected is transported back home to large VV Extraction Facilities. It was the recent need for small scale on-site extraction of He-3 (that’s ‘He’ for helium, not ‘he-man’!) gas at 600 degrees F from collected moon regolith that stimulated the design/production of the lab. Hey, VV Scientists are HOT in their persuit of the ultimate design for…
He Lab Operations
#1 I’m sure there were some girls who may have longed for Classic Space themes other than mining. This is what I think they would have wanted, but didn’t get… although I did go with the mining theme for my alternate builds!
#2 I hope you all recognized that Fabuland 2x2 airmail letter tile I added as a postal decoration on the HoverCraft! And, I know you all couldn’t miss my use of a Classic Star Wars Rebel Helmet for my Postal Courier! I just thought it looked really cool & feminine!
#3 I had to write that nonsense about the part options because LDD’s inventory did not have all the particular parts I used and/or it was going to be too tedious and time consuming to photo-edit each asterisked part!
#4 Oh, I almost forgot… I chose 1775 as the item number for my set as that is the year when Benjamin Franklin was appointed as the First Postmaster General by the Second Continental Congress.
#5 This has been a great building educational experience, many thanks to the Davids!
#6 Now finally… for some quick background information on mining the moon’s regolith for He-3 go to this LINK.
