The Scarab Lord . . The inspiration for this guy, began with the head. The upper part of the head actually hinges open to reveal his face - so he's a bit like a knight in armour. The shiny black plating made me think of the chitinous armour of a beetle, thus he became "The Scarab Lord" (although I did consider calling him Ringo Star) The body was a real challenge... The extra limbs and prodigious amount of armour plating, meant that, rather than relying on the conventional beam-torso construction method, I had to build a complex custom chassis. He's just under 12" tall but stands up really well - without any extra support. His custom core is very bulky and weighty - but fortunately the legs are designed to lock-out under the strain of all that upper body mass. I
