Engine 5 updates . . After almost 6 years in service with the Stud City Fire Department, Engine 5's 2006 Seagrave Marauder went in to the SCFD shops today to receive some much needed updates. First, a new bumper was added along with a brand new LED light package. Next the crew added a pair of bull horns and nicknamed the first Engine in the Department, the name was added above and reads, "You get the Horns", the idea is to add a matching pair of horns to the new Tower Ladder 6 once it arrives in late December/ early January and add "You mess with the bull". Next Engine 5 received some new windows (all trans clear) and a color coded pump panel. Lastly, some new steps where added to the engine. I hope you guys all enjoy the new features added to the truck, even though I have had it built for about 5 months, it needed some updates. One of the mayor problems I was having was its stability, so I took it apart and rebuilt it from the ground up... Most of the decals where hand made, I wasn't pleased with the tone of yellow my printer was giving me, so I took a yellow sharpie and colored some strands of paper, then glued them on. Not the best technique, but it looks pretty good. I also straightened out some of decals after I took pics, but was to lazy to re-take some pictures, as I have a final tomorrow and need some study/sleep time. ~Paulo R.
