M:Tron 64 . The M:Tron 64 model is my entry in the classic space pocket money contest. This 64 part model can be rebuilt into one of 21 alternate models. All parts were available in various colors prior to the discontinuation of M:tron. The main model exhibits only "legal" connections and can be built on a flat table without a lot of picking up/turning over. Main set features: Magnet, Opening canopy, extending commo array, radio, wrench. . Back corner underside. "Mag lift" alternate model Robots are our friends. "Speedy chair" alternate model. "Box flyer" alternate model "Swift" Alternate model. The wing connections may or may not be legal. The parts layout Some more alternate models: Box grabber Folding wing box carrier. Here it is landed with wings folded. "the wedge" long range scout. Speeder bike with hyperway bars. (the future version of highway bars on a motorcycle) Remote commo relay Delivery speeder. The following pics show two very similar models. The first is the basic model, the second two are of a more involved model. Basic box swooper Fast box grabber with extending commo equipment, front corner Rear corner. The next alternate model can have the wings oriented in a few different ways. Two variants are shown. both use dishes as landing gear which deploy by flattening the wings. Variant A, flying. Variant A, on the ground Variant B in flight. A glider. Here are a few options when you use the dishes and "plate, modified 1x4 offset(4590)" as the bottom or back of a creation. A stand-up flyer. A communications tower. A box jack for moving those boxes around the warehouse A zero-turn gravel smoother for keeping the gravel orderly. Some friendly robots. Scorpion bot for snatching boxes. Or hitting minifigs with a head-sized magnet, your choice.
