Why?
MIT round 4, Eamonn J vs Daevster ! . This category was really nagging at me because I really haven't built any serious mechs. I was really happy with the turnout, and maybe built more mechs later. Good Luck To Daevster! . theMIT opponent:daevster ! Category: "Robot Jox: Your job is to create two robots (with pilots)in a knock down, drag out fight to the finish in gladiatorial style combat. This idea is inspired by (Read: stolen) the 1990 cult classic, Robot Jox http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_Jox (man I loved that movie). Consider this a “mech” type category so no microscale please. Your arena does NOT have to be a full scale "thing" with a FULL crowd and stands and all that (that would be asking WAY too much of some collections) but some sort of “battle area” must be built." The read robot towers over, ready to strike.. Frantically the green robot struggles trying to avoid the inevitable... The chaotic crown cries in delight... ------------------------- Overview of the MOC. Unlike Daevster's entry, I made smaller mechs. I really like the landscape here, from a prolific patch of soil, to kinda dirt/wasteland, and finally just plain burnt to a crisp. Red robot. I was Aiming to focus on details more than size. My favorite part! My OWN hand design ;) Notice legs tilted in walking motion Green robot; His position was tough, but it turned out well. It's hands into fists. Again, the green robot --------- Overall, I want to thank the MIT for pushing me with this category. I probably never would've build serious mechs if I never got the category. Good luck to Daevster, and let the best moc win!
