My First Ever In-Person LUG Meeting . It was fun! . So after many years of trying, I finally made it to a Cactus Brick meeting. The first order of business was discussing upcoming events/displays in town. Some members brought in their creations. And lots of chatting afterwards. For example, Jason built an 11-foot Super Destroyer that took about two years to complete and before the official LEGO set was released. He brought a sizable stack of pictures to prove it. I could only describe it as epic after viewing them. A building structure by Christian. A couple of spacecrafts by Tim. A Polar Express dio by Joe. Train. Norm was trying to figure out how to slow down the speed of a LEGO motor. The yellow, rotating technic structure goes on top of a building. Christmas candle? Larry building the Mill Village Raid set. An impressive technique by Stephanie to build petals and leaves with 1x2 clear plates and 1x1 trans round plates. They can be easily bent into shape and it's quite sturdy. Check out the veins in the leaves! Proof I was there even if I do not appear in any of the pics. I brought the barrelman statue, synth, and a (not so) mystery build. XD
