H49 'Hierarch' Heavy fighter . A contribution to NoVVember, and to my little fleet... . Developed in 2238, the H49 'Hierarch' Heavy fighter is probably one of the meanest one-man ships around. If not, they're certainly the biggest around...
Statistics:
Weapons: 4 Medium Pulse Laser Cannons, 2 Medium Plasma Cannons, 1 Light Lancer Cannon
Shields: Heavy Shields (750 Megajoules)
Armour/Hull: 3 inch titanium-aluminium alloy, 5mm Ceramic lining (thermal deterrent)
Warp speed: 17/20
Impulse engine power: 750psi, theoretically unlimited (applies to ALL spacecraft [it would still take a while to reach anywhere near light speed on impulse alone).
Other: 97.6% Efficient Nuclear Fusion reactor (experimental)
Short/Long range sensors
Atmospheric flight capability
Multiple targeting sensors
(So I decided to revise my knowledge on spacecraft a bit... go and play Kerbal Space Program, then you'll understand me...)
The new twin fusion reactor design is the most efficient and powerful to date, and is currently still in the experimental phase, but results are promising. With current technology, there are also regenerative power cores mounted aboard.
The classic Viper shot.
Underside. All of the weapons can be seen here.
The lasers and plasma cannons.
The Lancer cannon; the pinnacle of human particle cannons. I've described this in the past on other models, so have a look around if you want to know more about it.
Cockpit.
The twin reactor is right behind the pilot, but there is a huge amount of insulation to protect him from the heat and radiation.
Comparison to my pimped-up Blacktron Allied Avenger and its pilot.
End notes:
Here is my contribution to NoVVember. I got my inspiration for this while playing Space Pirates And Zombies, more often referred to as SPAZ. The Boomerang ship was what gave me the idea for the engines on the Hierarch, and the rest developed from there. Took about 2 hours after dismantling 2 other models to build this, but it was well worth it (I'll post those other 2 at some point...). Anyway, tell me what you think, or not, but preferably the former please...
