MocOlympics Round 4: Max Pointner vs Mark Erickson . Catagory: Go to H. E. Double hockey sticks: Build us what you imagine the underworld would look like. You may choose from any reference material you wish but give us your version of (a) dark lord's realm. . MocOlympics Round 4 Link to opponents EPIC entry. When I first learned of my category, I decided to take a lighter approach than building what judgement will actually be like. As a Christian, like my opponent seems to be, I know that Hell will be exactly as the Bible describes it. However, I know that Christ has saved me, and while it is an important subject, I prefer not to build something along those lines. SO, I decided to build a cheesy Minifig Hell where bad minifigs are punished with sharpies, erasers, and blowtorches. Not only was this fun to build, but it gave me a chance to display my moving waterfall technique that I developed some time ago. Please watch this demonstrative video: The river of Lava! A clone being sharpied by a demon. Phipson being erased by another demon. Sorry Phipson! I couldn't resist. The nazgul-esque mech. The falls again. Inspired by Lee Muzzy's Mustifarian lavafall. The blow torch! This was SOO FUN to build! Here it is again with the pencil stub. The stub looks so real that my Grandpa actually tried to right with it when I gave it to him. When nothing happened, he figured out that it was all ABS plastic. The pocket knife. Comparison between a real sharpie and my brick built one. The Raven MECH from the front. This was the hardest part of the entry. It was difficult getting the legs strong enough to hold the body, arms, and torture instruments. The driver demon. The back of the Raven. A final shot of the whole entry. Best of luck to Mark and judges! Soli Deo Gloria!
