Why?
Babylon 5 - Fury Class Starfighter - QX-4 "Phoenix" . Here is another MOC Build-off between my friend Matt and I. Criteria for this MOC were the following: Starfury (Babylon 5) inspired starfighter ("X" configuration, multi-directional thrust engines, stand-up cockpit for 1 minifig and multiple weapons). The "Phoenix" meets all criteria standards but differs in many ways. The spaceframe is Earth designed while integrating Extraterrestrial technology into the Weapon and Propulsion systems (Note the 2 hemispherical energy pods and vectoring exaust). Feaures include: Composite spaceframe, EAV cockpit (Emergency Aerial Vehicle) and Interstellar communications. Weapon systems include: 4 Light laser machine guns, 2 Heavy Ion cannons (underneath), 2 High-yield disruptors (powered by the energy pods), and 16 Exo-Atmospheric missiles. Propulsion systems include: 4 Multi-directional thrust vectoring turbines with ram intakes and 2 aft mounted Micro-boosters. Comments are always welcome! . Front view. Top-rear view. Side view. Rear view. Cockpit detail. NOTE: EAV in airframe socket (not ejected). EAV detail. EAV survival kit detail. Missile detail. (4 under each wing) Weapons detail. NOTE: Energy pod location to high yield disruptors. Turbine with vectored thrust detail.
