Why?
MOC Olympics Round 4: David Alexander Smith vs Stuart Delahay - Alien Observations . . Alien observation teams after several years of anthropological study of the planet Earth reached the following conclusion. The earthlings have delegated the development of military tactics to their young. Conclusion: to dominate Earth eliminate its children first. This poor brother and sister playing with their toy tanks, planes, rockets and ships are about to meet a grey assassin. Here is a link to my talented opponent Stuart Delahay's page The topic for round 4 was - The Grey’s research project: Ok, so there’s plenty of UFO talk out there about aliens studying us right? Well… what do they think of us? Your job is to provide us with a brief documentary type moc detailing what the Grey’s (or any other alien species) think about Earth and the strange talking monkeys that live there. Think… nature documentary on the discovery channel detailing the daily lives of termites or something along those lines but from the alien’s point of view. I decided to avoid the obvious comedy approach, and work to a more creepy horror model. I was thinking here of a kind of Communion (that film did unsettle me when I first saw it) and Mary Poppins. The aim was to capture that sinister stalker moment that is prevalent in Alien mythology, but bring it into the kids' bedroom. I hope you like it!
