5-wide 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback . 5-wide 'Stang Fastback GTA . This will be my second entry for the 5 wide contest, my entry for the American car contest, and for the pre 1975 contest. :P Anyway, it is a 1967 'Stang, Fastback GTA version. I was thinking, well, I want to do the American car contest, but I also want to do something 5-wide... And something classic! Muscle car! So I went through my new October TG mag, yes, the one with the green carpets in Clarkson's merc, and in Hammond's icons, I found it. The Mustang! Then I looked which ones were for sale, and I picked the 1967 Fastback GTA. Not that I bought it, just... I built it.
The coke bottle design was the hardest, that little cheese slope did the trick, but it was hard to put the fastback tail on that. A lot of jumper plates were the answer.
Some snot to make those taillights.
The roof. I wanted two stripes. I needed two stripes. I made two stripes.
And... what's this? There's a race! (I was planning to put a girl with a flag there, but I forgot... :P)

Why even Eleanor, the Shelby GT500 from 'Gone in sixty seconds' (the new movie from 2000) has joined in on the fun!
Those big Shelby taillights look great...
