A Republic at War 13: Memories of a Dead Man . . (Nar Shadda, 1 hour following the events of Chapter 12)
(Republic Intelligence Agent Bill ducked for cover as a barrage of laser fire rained down. Across from him Agents Iso and Ben also took cover from the droid fire)
Bill- Blast it! At least on Tatooine Boris was here to help!
(On the walkway above one of the Mandlorians stopped firing as his holopad flashed to life, the image of Xeno Tadok appearing)
Xeno- This is Xeno Tadok to all remaining Mandalorian forces, the revolution is over, Fitze has betrayed us, find him and kill him.
Mandalorian- Yes sir! Finish them off! We have more important targets to find!
Bill- Fitze? Quick blast the fuel barrels!
Ben- What?! Sir that will-
(Before he can finish, Bill fires at the fuel dump)
(The containers explode, tearing through the walkway and knocking the agents back)
Iso- Remind me never to let you do that again.
Bill- It worked, didn't it?
Iso- There are more subtle ways of doing things you know.
Bill- But not as fun. Ah, look who finally showed up!
(Jedi, Gulio Marcus and Karlo Yond'Ull along with their clone escort marched into the scene)
Bill- Well, well, well if it isn't Master Gulio Marcus, I was wondering when you'd get here!
Gulio- It's good to see you too Bill. Fill me in on what'e happened here.
Bill- From what I've heard it seems old Mr. Fitze killed Victor Terronzi and is on the run from Mandalorian forces. I've managed to track him to a spaceport not far from here. Alinta and Vince are on his trail and if we hurry we just might capture him.
Gulio- Hmm, why would Fitze kill his own boss? Well we'll have plenty of time to ask him when he's behind bars. Let's move out troops!
(Meanwhile at the spaceport Fitze quickly dashed through the streets, a mysterious hooded figure close in pursuit)
Battle Droid- Sir, we have your ship prepared and your jetpack ready.
Fitze- Yes, yes very good. Now kill that man!
(The droids open fire forcing the cloaked figure behind a crate as Fitze slips the jetpack on)
Fitze- Ha! I don't know who you are, and I hope I never will, so long! Ha! Ha!
(As Fitze took off, the hooded figure quickly blasted one of the droids and sent the crate flying into the other)
(The figure leaped off the crate, jumping up to the second story balcony)
(And quickly threw a battle droid off)
(Fitze arrived at the top, and quickly dismounted the jetpack)
Battle Droid Commander- Sir, all the preparations have been made we-
Fitze- Yes that's very nice. Now when the man following me comes up here I want-
(Fitze is cut off as blaster bolts rip through two battle droids)
Fitze- What in the-
(Xeno Tadok walks into view as he blasts the last battle droid)
Xeno- Ah, Mr. Fitze so we meet again. You know it was very foolish of you to kill Mr. Victor. It will only serve to be your end.
Voice- Not so fast!
(Both men turn around as Jedi Alinta and Vince Yond'Ull walked into view)
Fitze- Ah, Jedi I was wondering when you'd show up.
Alinta- That'r right Fitze. You shouldn't have ran in the first place, but surrender now and you will receive a fair trial.
Fitze- A trial? Ha! I know what the verdict would be and I have no intention of going back to prison.
(Suddenly the hooded man leaped into the fray, as Fitze fired at Xeno)
Vince- What- Who is that?!
(Fitze rushed at Xeno, knocking his blaster aside, as the figure hesitated a moment, before wildly shooting at the Jedi)
Fitze- You forget Mandalorian, they didn't make me Intelligence chief for nothing!
Vince- Master, Fitze is escaping!
Xeno- I think not!
(Fitze ran to the bridge, narrowly avoiding Xeno's shots and pressing a hidden button as he ran)
(The bridge began to buckle, as hidden explosives went off tearing through the supports)
(The bridge then gave out and fell)
Fitze- Well Xeno, it seems that I will escape once again! Ha! Ha! Ha!
(Seeing he was defeated, Xeno ran off as the hooded figure, also seeing his query escaping, leaped off the ledge)
(The Jedi powered down their lightsabers as the two men escaped and Gulio and his forces marched into view)
Gulio- Alinta! We saw all the explosions, what happened? Where's Fitze?
Alinta- He escaped again Gulio. The Mandalorian did too. There was also this hooded man, I couldn't quite tell who it was but-
Gulio- A new sith maybe?
Alinta- No, it didn't seem like he was trying to harm us, actually it felt almost like...Boris.
Gulio- Boris? That can't be, those are simply memories of a dead man, we all wish Boris was back but... he's not.
Bill- Now wait just a bantha herding minute. I know Boris better than almost anybody else and I can tell you this, he's much harder to kill than you think. If your feeling is right, I think there's a pretty good chance that we may be seeing Boris again...
