Welcome :) I thought I would start by informing you that this will be my last car, for a while. My bedroom is being decorated, and my lego has to go away in order to make room to store all my stuff...
But anyway, I think this is quite a good way to go out!
Following my comments on my Lotus Europa, I decided to make this car 2 studs less wide, I think that has had a positive affect.
So, the front! Packed with all sorts of inverted bricks, and special techniques!
Those lights are made with bricks on their side, and the bumpers - something I have never done before!
Those wheels make it look much more like a Dino, I tried my other rims, and they made it look more like a 512bb from the side.
The back is a bit too square in my opinion, but it has the classic bumpers. The bumpers were very hard to put on, as the hoses are very hard to keep bent in a position. So every now and then, the whole back would ping off!
The doors open.
The interior, with those classic Ferrari seats, which are usually applied to Ferrari GT cars.
I did fit the classic yellow carpets, with the Dino logo on. I forgot to get a picture of them themselves, but hopefully you can just see them here.
Opening glovebox!
Engine and boot open.
The boot is huge, though I forgot to replace the bricks with holes in, in the bottom! :(
The consequences of the huge boot: tiny compartment for compact V6 engine.
Those wheels, once again. I know they are not really lego, but I couldn't resist!
The car with all the functional parts took off.
My steering system.
The front light cluster. Geeky fact: Buyers could choose optional perspex light covers, that increased the Dino's top speed by 3mph.
Thanks for viewing, I hope you liked it! I will still be on Mocpages, commenting on all your amazing creations, but I won't be adding any of my own for a while now. :)
