Why?
Haunted Mansion- Singing Busts . "When the crypt goes creak, And the tombstones quake. Spooks come out for a swinging wake. Happy haunts materialize, And begin to vocalize. Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize." . First off, this MOC isn't so much "build-heavy" as it is "photo-editing-heavy." It's been a goal of mine to somehow recreate the iconic Singing Busts scene from Disney's The Haunted Mansion attraction in LEGOŽ. Obviously, the main challenge was that these guys are supposed to be marble statues, however LEGOŽ hasn't produced a huge variety of grey minifigure heads. This problem was solved recently with my new Sony Vegas program, which now allows me to greenscreen each head indiviually and add necessary effects before placing them on the graveyard background. I am very pleased with the outcome :) So, I present the original Singing Busts: (From left to right) -Rollo Rumkin (played by Verne Rowe) -Uncle Theodore (played by Thurl Ravenscroft) -Cousin Algernon (played by Chuck Schroeder) -Ned Nub (played by Jay Meyer) -Phineas P. Pock (played by Bob Ebright) "If you would like to join our jamboree, There's a simple rule that's compulsory. Mortals pay a token fee. Rest in peace, the haunting's free. So hurry back, we would like your company." Thanks for checking out this little project of mine! More projects on the way including a Lord of the Rings stop-motion and other fun builds!
