Post Apocalypse: Quad-track tank . It's summer time! Which means i have time to start building and posting again, and i have a new camera! So this is my first of Post Apoc wave. It is a tank with two pairs of tracks, a big 105 mm gun, two flame mortars, a grenade launcher, and three machine guns. It is crewed by three: a commander, a gunner, and a driver (it has a mechanical auto loader instead of a human loader). On the top of the turret, there is a rear machine gun for taking out raiders who try to sneak around the back. The commander has a grenade launcher on by his hatch for cases of armored troops that are invincible to machine gun fire. In the case that one track fails, it can keep going at a slower speed. If two tracks fail, it can still limp back to a safe zone to be repaired. It can cross almost all terrain and can cross water five feet deep. It has good armor especially around the turret. When surrounded by hordes of infantry or mutant zombies, it is capable of very fast bursts of speed that can last about thirty seconds before the engine must cool. Its cruising speed is about 40 km/hr. .
They don't make four tracked tanks for a reason. It is hard to maintain all four tracks and distribute enough horsepower to make it move far (not even the scorpion from halo move fast). But in the hands of the right mechanic and crew, the four tracked style tank can brutalize everything in its path and wont get stuck even close to as easy regular two track tanks.
A big 105 mm howitzer for nasty, hard to kill targets and two flame mortars between the front tracks to keep those mutants at a safe distance.
A big engine is required to power this beast. An ordinary individual wouldn't be able to buy such horsepower. But since the military claimed this project to be failed, the crew got it for a cheap price: surviving the trip into a mutant overrun government facility.
Turret rotates 360 degrees.
Driver operates flame mortars and a small machine gun as well as driving the tank. Multitasking!
open hatch without driver.
Turret has sloped armor in front and thick armor on the sides.
Rear Machine gun
Commander's hatch.
Ahhh...fresh air.
Turret ring.
The crew (left to right): Gunner, Commander, Driver.
Weapon crates: explosives and sub machine guns on the left, anti-bunker rockets on the right.
Rocket launcher!
Flame mortars!
Grenade launcher!
"Having one of those bad days were the mutant zombies just keep pounding your position?..."
"...Call 1-800-Mutant-dozer, and we'll get that mess cleaned up for you in a jiffy."
Bye, thanks for viewing :)
