Self-Moc, Topsy Creatori… BCBS Rd1 . Wearing no make-up and sporting curlers in her hair, Topsy’s been caught in an embarrassing position, so she’s hiding up a tree & behind a flower blossom! . Hey, you’d be embarrassed too if you were a self-moc built from ‘Useless’ Parts by a crazy female AFOL celebrating her 1 Year MOCanniversary by entering you as her contribution to the BCBS’s Month of May Challenge Build #1: ‘Useless’ Parts! Attention… StoveTop’s now missing! (Perhaps she's just changed her name?!) Attention… TOPSY has now been located! (Yup, name change!) You can view her comings and goings during a typical day in the pictures below. Tending Her Alchemical Herb Garden! Doing StoveTop Aerobics… a girl has got to stay fit! Sitting Pretty! Posing In All Her Shining Glory! And now for that... Important Data on the ‘Useless’ Parts Used to build Topsy: #1) 1 trans med blue Head-Up Display Mask & 1 trans med blue Inner Glass Mask ‘Useless’ IMO because… both are very rarely used even for their intended use (I’m actually one of the few who have recently built with them!) Solution1…use the display mask spikes to simulate hair curlers!: Solution2…use it again with the other mask to make StoveTop’s signature hat! #2) 2 orange Toa Pohata lower arms ‘Useless’ IMO because… they are too long for arms (unless you are building a gorilla) and they don’t have any end joint fittings. Solution…use them as upper legs and spend more money to buy ball-n-socket joint fittings, then realize that if you don’t want wobbly knees you can only use them with certain lower arm or leg pieces! #3) 2 white Technic Gearbox Halves ‘Useless’ IMO because… I’m not a vehicle builder, nor am I mechanically inclined. Hey, all I remember from Engineering Statics calculations is that the sum of the forces is equal to zero! Solution…incorporate them into a lower torso! #4) 2 medium blue Ball Joint 5 x 7 Arms with dual axle hole at 90 degrees ‘Useless’ IMO because… arms with elbow-like joints that do not move ‘fly in the face’ of what Bionicles are all about… articulation. Solution…incorporate them into an upper torso!
