Why?
LT-19 . "...light and fast has never been so good." - Anonymous Dawn Forge Marine . The LT-19 is a light armored unit designed to protect and accompany infantry during battle. Its halftrack configuration is rugged and reliable, while being easy to drive and control. It is effective against infantry up to medium armor. Weighing in at 27 tons, the LT-19, in the typical Dawn Forge style, is much more heavily armored than any of its enemy equivalents, although it is still light. It is equipped with a 35mm autocannon and a .50 caliber machine gun. In addition to light and medium armor, the autocannon is able to engage helicopters and low-flying aircraft. It is controlled by a second crewmember, and it aims wherever he/she looks. Power is provided by a gas turbine engine. The engine produces about 750 h.p., giving the LT-19 a top speed of 87 mph on-road, 68 mph off-road, but has the price of notoriously poor fuel economy. The LT-19 is also equipped with a barrier-breaking front bumber, which can smash through 12 in. of concrete at top speed. The LT-19 is fully drive-by-wire, and has a variety of sensors to give the driver a full view of the battlefield. In addition to driving the vehicle, he also aims the .50 cal. machine gun, which is the primary defense against infantry. The antennae allows for long-range communication. Fourth Wall Commentary: This isn't a good build, it is just to tide me over so I can get some of the larger projects done.
