Why?
LEGO RC Tank Project . Brand new WiP model that I'm working on! . Tank Project 1.0 Name Tank: No name yet Stage: Creation stage 27 March 2012 – Entry 1 I finished finally the tracks completely, I created a chassis which carries the tracks, engines and batterybox! Big leap forward although I did have several flaws to correct. Still 1 odd flaw in the design, which is one of the tracks is little loose. Result is the tank does not have the capability to go in a straight line for long. Trying to fix this of course! Further I made a few quick pictures which show the current model, uploading these to flcker page and mocpages. Brickshelf will follow after that. 25 March 2012 I had some trouble finding the right wheels to use for the tracks. It took me a few hours to figure it out, but now finally I have found the right wheels. Next is to figure out how to do the suspension on the middle wheels, the outer wheels will not have this suspension feature. Due to the lack of the (right) bricks I am forced to have minimize material useage. Meaning only the front wheels will be powered. I a was hoping to power the rear wheels as well. Aditionally to the thoughts, I am thinking of making a own design. This should make it easier later on plus potential extra add-ons should be easier to install then. Instead of 1 barrel weapon, I am thinking of making it dual barrel on both sides. Each should be working either together as 1 set, or with a little luck 2 sperate sets. 24 March 2012 The long awaited project can finally start it's first stage. Most of the models are ripped apart and nearly everything is sorted. Figuring out how the tank will be working is a hard one and will not be done on MLCAD. Planned at this moment: Movement → forward, backward, 180 spin Turret → 180 spin Barrel(s) → arc up/down, barrel leveling, with luck recoil Lights → Front/rear lights (optional) Battery box(es) → 1 in main body in the front, 1 in turret for turret controls - Project has been halted due to lack of time + tracks that refuse to get fixed. - - This will continue completely fresh later on. -
