Roman Circus . . 2012 MOCathalon! Team ANZAC! 2: A Day at the Circus: Ladies and gentleman -- boys and girls, the traveling circus is in town! It's time for you to be the ringmaster and depict a day at the circus in LEGO! Will you create a small scene, or a big tent? It's up to you. Make it colorful and fun for big points! (Duplo animals may be used as well) So I decided to build a slice of an amphitheater, the Romans' circus. In an amphitheater gladiators would fight to the death. Gladiators were often slaves, captives and such who were forced to fight in gladiatorial games (makes me think Hunger Games all of a sudden) and if they fight, or even die nobly then they would be widely admired by spectators. If one gladiator mastered another and had his opponent unarmed, he would appeal to the crown on weather or not to kill him. The audience would then give him either a thumbs up or down to determine the defeated gladiator's fate. Credit for the shirt on the left goes to Christopher Baldacci. On the left are two very mature marble statues. I'm a little worried about this, due to having neglected "making it colorful and fun", and rather made a more serious creation. As always, go the ANZACs!
