Team Jigsaw's Vignetted, Portal 2. . Unless you've been living under a large mass of rock for the past year, the sequel to Valve's smash hit "Portal" was released, with the original name of "Portal 2" Featuring more tests, more killer turrets, and the ever phsyco GLaDOS, this game was my source of inspiration for my Vignetted entry. I will be including links and videos to source material that I worked from. Judges, I'd highly appreciate it if you followed these links to get an idea of the in-game situations and atmosphere, as I tried to convey these through my build. . MOCathalon Homepage. Team Jigsaw Homepage. Category: Vignetted. The game primarily comprises a series of puzzles that must be solved by teleporting the player's character and simple objects using "the handheld portal device", a device that can create inter-spatial portals between two flat planes. The player-character, Chell, is challenged by an artificial intelligence named GLaDOS (Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System) to complete each puzzle in the Aperture Science Enrichment Center using the portal gun with the promise of receiving cake when all the puzzles are completed. The game's unique physics allow momentum to be retained through portals, requiring creative use of portals to maneuver through the test chambers. Well, I wasn't supposed to be doing the Vignetted category, but I had this fun idea of doing Portal 2 and my teammates allowed me to steal it. This took about a day and a half to complete, working on and off on it over the weekend. I had this entirely built, and my teammates decided that I should make a modification that most likely would force me to tear into the build and reduce all the work I had done to pieces. Fortunately, we came to a compromise and I didn't have to do so much damage. Only a little. ;) With one of our teammates pulling out of the MOCathalon due to personal reasons, the pressure is now on for us to do our best.
