737 Crash! . 25 nautical miles northeast of McBrick VOR, LegoLift 338, a 737-200, suffered a catastrophic rapid decompression when its roof peeled off. Due to impressive piloting skills, the plane was able to land back at McBrick International Airport. . Crash 1 737-200 Chanel 8 Action News: This just in. LegoLift flight 338 has suffered major structural damage and was barely able to land. So far, two are confirmed dead and several more are seriously injured. Stay tuned for updates... NTSB examiner Keith Johanson leads NTSB examiner Ted Smith and NTSB FAA liaison John McFlark in a detailed investigation of the accident. The NTSB believes this accident was the result of metal fatigue resulting in catastrophic structural failure and depressurization, similar to Aloha Airlines flight 243. The accident could likely have been prevented with better maintenance practices.
