Why?
1978 Maxim "Super Super Pumper". . . This is a 1978 Maxim "Super Super Pumper". It has a 1750 GPM pump, a 750 gallon tank, with 25 gallons of Class A foam, and 25 gallons of Class B foam. This unit is equipped with vehicle extriction gear, brush gear, and chemical extinguishers. This unit responds fourth-out to all MVAs and fourth-out to all residential fires. I completely destroyed this rig, put it on a new chassis, added clear headlights and spotlights, made the rig have a de-studed roof, added a new pump panel, gave more walking room near the jumpseats, and I took Zak O.'s suggestion in using the fence things for the hosebed. I like this rig much more now! I also added an Arrowstick in the rear. *NOTE: All Maxims have manual transmissions so I took an antenna, angled it, and bent the pole part to fit the driver's hand for a stickshift.
