MOC Speed Contest Round 2: Life on Mars Revised - 7316 Excavation Searcher . Set Redesign: Redesign a LEGO set to make it more accurate or cooler. Preferrably a mid-ranged set, e.g. between $20-$50, but it can be any set. . Claw close-up Close-up of the middle, boulder carrying section On the underbelly, you can see the how the little scout-plane is attached. And of course, we're missing the most important feature of Life on Mars, the modular building! Lets look at each section individually, shall we? The head: The forlegs: The boulder-carrier: The hindlegs and claw: ...This section does pretty well as a stand-alone mech, don't you think? (Its difficult to make those aliens look like they're panicking) One more feature seen on the original set, the ability to stick the head on the forlegs and create a humanoid mech: ... The Epic Showdown! VICTORY! Spare parts: Overall, I think I did a pretty good job with this mech (I kinda overgreebled a little though), and I now feel confident enough to build more mechs, so stay tuned!
