Peace on Earth . A soldier on Christmas Day. The place is classified, the mission; same. To his family, he's away from home on Christmas, in a place they might never have heard of before; not knowing when he's coming back. To him, he's alone without the ones he loves. To his government, he does not exist if he does not return. "Why is all this?" the soldier contemplates. . As you sit tonight, or any night, in a comfortable home, warm from the cold and wind. When you have the chance to look at the fireplace, or savor your favorite beverage while on the couch with your loved ones. Please take the time to remember those that endure the cold, the storm, the dark of night so that you can enjoy yours.
And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."
Till, ringing singing, on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!
Merry Christmas to all, may we never forget why we celebrate this holiday! To those that are deployed and in harm's way this Christmas, you are in our prayers and hearts, as well as His. God bless you!
Shout out to Parrington for the theme, best wishes man!
