The Osprey . This is my StarWars Sig Fig's ship, The Osprey...This ship was originally built at the end of the Clone Wars by Koensayr Manufacturing. However the Tigershark-Class Light Freighter line was discontinued once the Empire had the Sigma-class shuttle put into production for their war machine. Since it was only a prototype, Koensayr pretty much gave it away and it eventually ended up in Jay's hands many years later. .
Here we have a front end shot- displaying the nice angles of the nose, the twin turbolasers on each side along with the plasma cannons above each of those, turret, and the struts that help hold the ship together... a view which enemy pilots wont live very long to see.
Side shot showing off more angles and greebles of the ship, once again with the single plasma cannon above the twin turbolasers. You can also see that the headlights flip to reveal a missile launcher.
A rear shot displaying the two ion drives, a bunch of greebles, and the access panels.
Here is another rear shot but with the two cargo holds on the left and right, and then the main cabin access in the middle. I know its a little short for the minifigs but I wanted to keep the ship as thin and sleek as possible.
The top of the ship with removable roof piece and a better look at the turret.
Close up of the turret. Notice that it turns 360 degrees and can move up and down. The black angle piece in between the laser cannons is meant to be both a small shield generator to help stop it from being easily destroyed and as a means for the the gunner to see and target enemy ships.
Here's a good look of the cockpit- It does not normally have such complicated controls, but since Jay has added both better engines and weapons systems, he needs to be able to have access to everything in the rare times when he is flying solo. (Yes I removed the part that flips up so that there would be a better view of the controls.
Once again the cockpit but with Jay at the controls. (Here I put the top piece on since seeing the controls didnt really matter at this point)
A view of the cabin without anyone inside. You can see that on the left we have the gunner's seat and on the right there is the astromech access point, along with some room for more people or cargo.
...And now we have everyone inside: Sye at the turret controls, FortyFour plugged into the ship, and Buck just riding it out but a little cramped next to the droid.
And a final pic of the crew loading up both cargo and explosives for whatever job they have next!
For anyone wondering, the original design took me about 3 ours one day in July of this year...and then I proceeded to do small modifications and add some more detail and greebles until just a few days ago and now Im really happy on how it turned out. It is all studless excluding the translucent greens that dont come in flat round pieces. The best thing I like about it is how all the angles make it look a little more rugged but the studless keeps it sleek...just one of the many things I love about this ship! So Enjoy! If anyone wants info or more pics of a certain part just comment!
