Why?
MO round 4 The Fisherman vs Wes Pitter - Christo . Category: The Gates. Create a piece of environmental art in the spirit of the Bulgarian artist Christo. . My entry for round 4 of the MocOlympics 2011 My skillful opponent Wes Pitter What the Batman had in store for us: The Gates - Take your Lego out into the world and create a piece of environmental art in the spirit of the Bulgarian artist Christo. Your creation must exist (at least temporarily) and be photographed in the natural world. Packing the 'Reichstag' was out of the question, so I decided to go with a church. Luckily we have many in my city so I only had to choose one. By looking at the pictures you might think: 'So, the fisherman built an ugly church. What's the big deal?' After taking the measurements of the model, that's placed in the centre of town, I was forced to build around an imaginary building. Just as proof that the model really is underneath. Here are some shots of the real building 4Wall commentary: If there is one thing I have learned from that build, it's that 600 pieces of a kind are not enough.
