MO R3 Jason Corlett VS. Mahai Marius Mihu - "I love it when a plan comes together!" . For round three, I decided to build a bank robbery scene for the category "I love it when a plan comes together!" from the TV show "The A-team". . For round three I am competing against the talented Mihai Marius Mihu in the category of "I love it when a plan comes together!" And as usual, here is the link back to the MocOlympics page Jacob calls his team. “How are the preparations coming along?” Ivan and Danny pose as sewer maintenance personnel to gain access to the sewers. They are setting up explosives all along the load bearing walls. Ivan answers his phone (has Russian accent) “package has been delivered to tunnels. I vill give you remote vhen ve rendezvous for heist.” Toby poses as electrician fixing cameras in the bank. He discretely installs a timer on all the cameras to shut them down at the time of the heist. Toby answers his phone when he leaves the bank. “The cameras are set, Jacob. We have to make sure we’re in and out before they come back online.” Jacob hangs up the phone and turns to his wife, Mary, who is getting ready for work and says. “I’m going to pick up our money. I hope your new job at the bank goes well. I’ll see you this afternoon.” Later that afternoon a white truck pulls up in front of the bank... and 4 men get out. They walk into the bank... and pull out guns... They start taking employees and customers hostage... while shooting all the guards dead. They put the hostages in the back office... and Danny stays to keep them quite. Ivan pulls his huge gun out of a brief case and sets it up on the front desk. He is in charge of watching for cops. Jacob and Toby start trying to crack the safe. Once the safe is opened... Jacob tells Toby to load as much money as he can in the yellow car out back. Toby brings out bags of money to the car. Inside, a new employee of the bank starts fighting back against Danny. Danny bellows from the office "I could use a little help in here!" and Jacob yells "Toby, Ivan! Get back here and help Danny with the hostages! Keep them quite!" Just then, two police cars pull up to the bank with lights flashing and sirens blaring. Ivan yells to Jacob “I can’t help vith that right now! Police are here!” Jacob walks to the doorway and yells “Just do it Ivan!”. Jacob goes back to the vault, loads the last bag and puts it into the car outside. Jacob says to himself as he grabs his gun from the hood of the car "Now, time to tie up the loose ends". He runs back into the bank and readies his gun. Toby turns to Jacob and asks “Are we ready to go?” Jacob responds “I am.”... And shoots Toby... Danny... And Ivan. He then grabs Mary's hand and says “Let’s move! The cops should be breaking down the door any minute now.” They both run outside and get into the yellow car filled with cash. Jacob pulls out the remote for the explosives and pushes the button. The road beneath the cop cars explodes, flipping both cars and the truck and igniting everything on fire including the officers. Jacob says with hands full of cash “I love it when a plan comes together!” And now for some extra photos of all the sets, figs, and vehicles! Details on the front of the building. The roof of the bank. Complete with AC unit. Front desk of the bank. Vault door. Skid of freshly printed hundred dollar bills. I only have two printed money tiles so I had to improvise with the stack of cash. Safety deposit boxes. The back office has a water cooler, snack table (cause every office should have one) and two desks. The water cooler again. Really happy with the way this turned out. This is the upper floor of the bank. Although I didn't use it in the story, it is here and I even put some cubicle walls and office chairs up here to make it look like it was populated from the front of the bank. Here is Jacob and Mary's bedroom. Originally, Everything I built for this set was WAY too big (close to miniland scale). So, I ripped everything apart and redid them. The TV is still a wee bit too big but who doesn't love a huge TV? Gotta fit the helmet in somewhere... Bedside table with clock, book and TV remote. Bed... obviously. Cloths rack and hat rack. Gorgeous racks, huh? Don't you just want to touch them? Hands off that's my rack! Colossal TV! The sewer set. I was going to add some more details in here but I ran out of time and pieces. The truck/van. I quite happy with the vehicles too. I'm particularly fond of the cop cars! They just look great to me! Can't fit a fig though. The yellow car. This one is kind of like a VW beetle. I'm not too happy with the back of this one. I ran out of parts at that point. The robbers! Jacob the brains of the operation and his wife Mary. Ivan the russian explosives and heavy weapon expert. Toby the hacker. And Danny the ex-henchman for a drug lord. Cops and security guards. Bank employees. And finally, All the helpless civilians. Northern Note: This one was a LONG build. Just when I thought I was finally done, I found out that I needed another set or vehicle or person or whatever! Even taking the pictures took forever! Just endless posing and switching sets. Not to mention the Sh@t-ton of sorting I'll have to do now!!! Whine complete! Whoo! that felt good to get off my chest! Like I was saying, I had lots of fun this round. I'm really happy with the results and I wish Mihai the best of luck with the judges! Thanks for stopping by!
