Safari-research offroad van . This one was done about 2 weeks ago but so far I haven't had time to take photos of it because I was pretty busy with the Brick EXPO that KOCKICE club organized more than a week ago. This model was one of my 10 big ones that were shown there and considering the fact that I had to build it pretty damn quick I think it turned out quite O.K. It's got a lot of functions and it's very playable. It's just my thing. If it's a car then it has to at least act like one to the certain point. I just got the idea that I could build a Safari off road van that would be used for animal research and mostly science. The model itself is my own design by the way. . A small lab with computers and maps is visible through the roof window There are also cameras on the left and the right side There are big sliding doors on both sides as well Computers, tools, animal cage, stuff like that There's the other sliding door and it shows a cage with a momentary resident - a monkey that got scared for his life and dropped some right in the cage Driver and co-driver with a camera This is an additional feature. Part of the front cockpit with a co-driver opens like a drawer so he can take photos of the animals closer and with more precision while the vehicle is on the move. He is wearing a helmet to protect him from the dust and dirt. I got that idea from a very old movie where two guys had a seat attached to the very front of a Land Rover but instead of a camera he had a very large rifle. Guess what he did for a living I also have a gunner but he is on a top sitting on a gun rack with a very large rifle too, but as I said this is a research vehicle so his gun shoots tranquilizing darts This pic shows the work desk with a lot of gear and equipment under the gun rack The engine in the back of the van
