Eden Gunships (VTOL MR-4) . 4th revision of the Multi-Role VTOL Craft designed with modular weapon systems for the protection of an Eden Fortress. . I do alot of graphic design work at my job, so I decided to go all out on one MOC to what people think about it. Please rate and comment! And thanks for your support!
Developed by Kobashi Motors as the first international joint military cooperation venture after the dissipation event, the prototype squadron of four craft saw immediate service against the alien remnant and outperformed all expectations. In those days there were no factories left, everything was a prototype, an ongoing design. The Eden Gunships were built with that modular thinking at the forefront, and they stayed in service for ages.
Heavily armed for a craft of the era, the Eden Gunships were capable of filling any role required. Produced at a time when humanity had virtually no standing military left, this single craft was tasked with all mission types, and performed admirably once the full plethora of omni-mount devices had been developed. After humanity wiped out the alien invaders, the Eden Gunships still found much use on short range space assignments and transport missions.
Initially, four unit squadrons were produced by hand out of the Altai mountain complex, under the guidance of the oriental enclaves. Once the Central American factories came online, hundreds of these craft were produced and sent all over the globe to take the fight to the aliens. Being the first craft fully powered by an on-board fission reactor, the Eden Gunships had unlimited range and later were upgraded for deep space missions.
Being that most of the early Eden Gunships were hand made, the term variant is nearly synonymous. Virtually every ship was different in some fashion, and later on many had been cobbled together from other damaged gunships, so in the end every ship was a variant. The most signifigant turn was made when one clever pilot developed a new targeting computer and had his ship’s particle cannons modified with 25º turrets.
Jessica ‘Jade’ Arcombe was one of the test pilots, and eventually chosen for the first field mission. The first strike against the aliens in years. All four pilots received honors, but she chose to leave the test program and stay in the field with her ship. Over the next fourteen years, as humanity fought back against the aliens, she ran missions in that same ship, almost daily. Computer records indicate her particle cannons were fired 126k times and in the end the only part of her ship that had never been replaced was cockpit seat. When Jade decided to retire from that pilots seat her ship was used in the opening of a war museum, and Jade was promoted to admiral of humanities first interstellar fleet.
